World-class platforms to satisfy customers' needs

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has taken a great leap forward in deploying world-class mobile smart services as part of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Smart Government initiative, at a federal level. This falls in line with the ministry's vision to become a global leader in the field of financial management, and to provide direct and easy communication channels around the clock to satisfy customers' needs from both the government and private sectors. To achieve this aim, the ministry has launched a number of applications that meet the needs and requirements of ministry customers and users.

The MOF UAE Mobile Application is available to download on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. It offers a variety of Government-to-Citizen and Government-to-Business services. Through this platform, ministry customers and users can request, track and pay for government services without the need to visit any of the ministry’s offices. They will also be able to interact with the ministry at any time with their complaints, suggestions and feedback through different channels, namely: E-Suggestion, E-Complaints and Feedback.

The application also enables users to view budget reports, final accounts and open data, presented within infographics and high-quality interactive graphs optimised for smartphone screens. In addition, it offers several interactive features for the public, such as smart participation in opinion polls organised by MoF to evaluate services and a special window for Smart Wallet, which aims to help customers manage their personal budgets.

The MOF UAE Mobile Application supports the needs of people with special needs and visually impaired users, and provides customers and users with nine services.

This app compatible with both Android and iOS devices

The eDirham is a system launched by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in 2011 to collect service fees and revenue for the Federal Government in order to enhance the delivery of public services. The eDirham system goes through continual development processes to meet customer’s needs and requirements, so that the system becomes the first payment method for government and semi-government services and one of the preferred smart payment methods for various services.

The system offers many advantages, including low costs, fixed fees for the service, and the possibility of paying service fees through different payment channels, including e-Dirham applications for mobile phones, e-wallet, vouchers, self-service e-Kiosks.

The eDirham Mobile Application is a secure mobile application that is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It comes with an easy-to-use interface and eWallet for use in the payment process without the need to use eDirham cards during each transaction.

The mobile application is easy to access and user friendly, and is available and accessible to any user. It allows the registered users to:

  • Set-up eDirham Wallet (Virtual eDirham Card)
  • Enquire and pay for services in the ministries or eDirham merchants
  • Connect the users of the mobile application with eWallet to be used during the payment
  • Generate the eWallet Token ID’s
  • Generate card mini statement and check the card balance

The MoF app for "smart watches" enables users to track their requests for Value Added Tax and Tax Domicile certificates issuance. It also provides a set of features that allow users to view some of the services related to Gulf Economic Integration, financial open data, and MoF's profile, including officers’ contact data and the latest news. Additionally, users can make e-payments with a single click on the watch.

MoF has linked the Emirates ID Card as a personal identification document to salaries of government employees and government services. MoF also seeks to use encryption and smart features offered by the ID to validate data. The aim of using these features that include Biometrics of the cardholder is to save time, effort and money, and to accelerate the transformation process to smart services.
