Strategy and Future Department

The Strategy and Future Department develops the methodologies for strategic and operational planning as well as programs and initiatives for enhancing the quality and excellence of the Ministry’s services, to fulfil its strategy.

This department has the following roles and responsibilities:


Developing a methodology to prepare strategic and operational plans, the priorities for their implementation, and the mechanisms for their evaluation in the Ministry, in coordination with the Prime Minister's Office.


Preparing and developing strategic and operational plans and programs in the Ministry, and assessing the results of their implementation, in coordination with the organisational and administrative units.


Implementing quality systems, models and requirements for developing institutional performance, government excellence, and government services, as well as ensuring their alignment with the Ministry’s plans and programs to promote a culture of excellence in providing services.


Designing and developing performance KPIs in line with the strategic plan, and formulating development plans according to the results of the performance evaluation, in coordination with the concerned departments.


Developing manuals, regulations, procedures, and developing studies in accordance with the results of the performance evaluation.


Overseeing the management of strategic projects and change initiatives approved by the Ministry.


Implementing knowledge management and developing its methodologies, and following-up their implementation in the Ministry.


Developing the Ministry's organisational structure in coordination with the concerned departments based on the approved strategical plans.


Any other competencies related to the nature of its work, or entrusted by the Minister of State for Financial Affairs.
