General Revenue Department


The General Revenue Department is involved in conducting studies and compiling results of the studies for the Federal Government, as well as collecting public revenue.


This department has the following roles and responsibilities:


Preparing necessary studies for the development and diversification of general federal revenues.


Preparing and reviewing general revenue forecasts for the Federal Government.


Providing the necessary suggestions to impose or amend or remove service fees in the Federal Government in coordination with federal entities and relevant authorities in the country.


Preparing periodic reports on public revenues.


Proposing rules and ways of collecting Federal Government revenues.


Collecting Federal Government revenue and monitoring it, and providing suggestions for collection of non-collected revenues.


Preparing necessary studies on development of direct and indirect taxes in coordination with the Macroeconomic and Fiscal Policy Department of the ministry and the competent authorities.


Proposing draft laws on direct and indirect taxation.


Any other tasks related to the work of the department, or entrusted to it by the Assistant Under Secretary.
