Policies and Accounting Standards Department

Task 1:  Strengthening the accounting and financial capacities of ministries and Federal authorities

Description:

1. Development of policies and standards of finance and accounting for the Federal Government.
2. Preparing and studying laws of finance and accounting systems related to the implementation of all sections and items of the budget and to make proposals on the development.
3. Study the proposed financial regulations from the federal authorities and provide a feedback.
   

Task 2: Manage and develop  the unified financial procedures guideline of the Federal Government.
 
Description:

1. Develop and update the unified financial procedures guideline of the Federal Government through the periodic review of the manual in coordination with the concerned authorities.
2. Supervision of the automated system of the manual and its operation at all ministries through a network.
3. Issue the annual unified financial procedures guidelines and its distribution to all stakeholders.

Task 3: Technical support, finance and accounting consultancies departments of ministries and the Federal authorities

Description:

1. Provide technical consultancy in the financial and accounting field of all ministries and federal authorities.
2. Organize training programs to increase the efficiency of the employees at the ministries in the financial and accounting field in accordance with universally applied systems.
3. Respond to ministries inquiries concerning how to apply the financial regulations.
